Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer
Role Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team.
The role involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of desktop systems across the organization. Dealing with customer contact points and ensuring their satisfaction is a key requirement of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Respond to support tickets, diagnose problems, and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Provide remote and on-site support to end-users.
- Install and update operating systems and application software.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and profiles.
- Maintain asset inventory of IT equipment.
- Educate users on basic troubleshooting and best practices.
- Ensure all tasks comply with IT policies and security standards.
Required Skills:
- Experience on configuring devices to connect to corporate domain
- Installation of MS Office, Antivirus, any other software
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common desktop applications
- Knowledge of Active Directory (user account creation, permissions)
- Ability to install, upgrade, and maintain hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals)
- Basic understanding of antivirus, backup, and security tools
Experience: 1-4 Years
Minimum academic qualifications: Any Graduate or Diploma
